School Week

I have been in school for six weeks now.
Next week I will have a reading test. It will last from Tuesday until Thursday. Every day I will have to do 2 and a half hours. That's about as long as when I get to school until my specials.

On Fridays, we get a third grade recess, or movie it if is raining.

I am much better at tetherball than I used to be. Aidan and I take a long time to finish one game - about eleven minutes. I'm serious.

I am in soccer right now. Our team is undefeatable. The first team we versed we beat 7-2. They were called Dundee. The second team we versed was called Celtics. We beat them 4-3. The third team we versed was called Boca, and we beat them 5-0. Tomorrow we will be versing another team. I have scored at least goal each game. The first game I scored at mid-game. The second game I scored in the first 30 seconds and in the last 10 minutes. The third game I scored in the first 5 minutes and scored in the last seconds.

Third grade

I finished summer vacation. I am starting third grade. Yesterday was my first day of third grade. It is very fun. I have lots of fun there. There are two recesses for the whole first week! Today is the principal's birthday. They did not do anything special for his birthday.

I have a lot of people in my class. Hailey, Kiera, Emma, Sahith. I like to play tag at recess. I eat lunch at 12:30 p.m.

Today was the second day of school. Today I had P.E. for my special. Tomorrow I will have art.

The two days before school started, I had a sleepover with Mykel.

We played lots of math games at school. We played lots of learning games to learn people's names and what they like to do and all that. I have a dialy planner this year, and I need some special stuff for P.E.

If it is raining on second recess, we watch movies.

Camps

I had a fun this summer so far! I had a fun week at Invention camp. It was full day camp. I made a homework doing robot. [No it does not work.]

After that camp, I went to soccer camp. It was a half day camp. It was in the morning. At the end of the week, we had a water gun day and Planet Smoothie.

I had a blank week with no camps so I stayed home.

Next week, I had gymnastics camp, also half day. It was Space Camp. The first day we had a trip to find the solar system in the gymnastics place. It was very fun. We played in the bounce house on Friday. The next week, I went to another gymnastics camp when my little brother Sawyer was born. We played in the bounce house on Tuesday. On the end of the week, we got to get slimed and then we got free play.

Magic Mountain and the End of Second Grade

Magic Mountain
For my birthday I received lots of coins for Magic Mountain. I got 1,837 tickets from the games at Magic Mountain. I used the tickets to get:
  • a toy motorcycle,
  • a race car,
  • a bowling set,
  • a jump rope, and
  • a pencil.

The End of Second Grade
I have 12 days left of school and then summer break! Second grade was very fun. In a couple more days, my class gets to have a field day. We went on a field trip to Slate Run Historical Farm Metro Park. We will get to walk to Dairy Queen as a the entire second grade. For the last day of school, we get to have a party a little before summer break.

Zoombezi Bay

Today we went to Zoombezi Bay at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. We spent time playing in Baraccuda Bay; I got dumped on by the big bucket. The water was cold.

Today was the coldest day of the summer.

My favorite activity at Zoombezi Bay was the green slide.

A busy week!

Today was the last day of camp for the week. We finished our murals at art camp. At the end of camp, we put on an art show. Dad, mommy, and Grandma Griffith came to my art show. I showed off the mural created in collaboration with the whole camp, my mini-mural that I brought home, and the tree I created for the camp mural.

At Camp COSI we went to the Space exhibit. I played with the table where balls fall in a figure eight pattern. We played with a stop action movie maker. We also watched rats play basketball with their teeth. They weren't very good passers, but they could dunk! These are special rats from Japan.

After Camp, Mommy and I watched a movie about mummies. For a long time nobody could find pharoah mummies, but then somebody found twenty pharoah mummies at once. But, we still don't know the secrets of how to make mummies.Quinn and I also played in the Kid Space. I stayed in the big kid room to make stop action movies and play video games. Quinn played in the water and got wet.

We stopped for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. They had peanuts on every table! Charley the Balloon Guy made me a balloon hat that looks like Brutus Buckeye!

We are going to Utah in a week. I am very excited to visit the Tutoring Toy! I am very excited to see Aunt Diane, Uncle Bill, Cousin Casey, Grandma Jeanne, Grandpa Ray, Ole the dog, Aunt Lisa, Cousin Aidan, Uncle Bob, and Uncle Scott. I am looking forward to hiking the Kirkwood Trail and seeing some bison in Yellowstone.

Quinn is vey excited right now.

First week of summer camps

This week I had camp. I have two camps this week.

I am making a mural in art camp, at the Columbus Museum of Art. On the first day of art camp, we started on our mural. We have visited two murals nearby. We are learning about neighborhoods. We made our own buildings using paper, buttons, and fabric. We are using fabric on the background of our murals. We are using lots of paper too.

Every day I come home covered in paint.

My favorite art in the Columbus Museum of Art is a statue of a hairy man. It looks like a real man! I think he is funny.

We are learning about animals at COSI Go Wild Camp. Sometimes we get to go to exhibits. The first day we went to the Oceans exhibit. The second day we went to the Prairie exhibit. The third day we visited the Lost Egypt exhibit. Today we visited the Life exhibit, and we made snot.

Today we learned: "eyes in the front, like to hunt; eyes on the side, like to hide." We also got to hold animal skulls. I held the skulls of a bald eagle, a deer, a rattlesnake, and a bear. The biggest was the bear, the smallest was the rattlesnake.

I have also held a live bearded dragon this week, and we petted a Honduran Milk ShakeSnake. We also saw a life size whale, but he wasn't real.

At the Lost Egypt exhibit I saw a real mummy! It was a girl. She was about 16 to 18 years old when she died. Her "name" is Annie.

Yesterday, we went to Family night at the Columbus Zoo. We rode a log ride, and I got soaking wet! I sat in the front and protected Bryan from most of the water. The second hill was scary.

Both camps serve snacks. We had cookies, lots of Oreo's, and smiley gummies.
