I am making a mural in art camp, at the Columbus Museum of Art. On the first day of art camp, we started on our mural. We have visited two murals nearby. We are learning about neighborhoods. We made our own buildings using paper, buttons, and fabric. We are using fabric on the background of our murals. We are using lots of paper too.
Every day I come home covered in paint.
My favorite art in the Columbus Museum of Art is a statue of a hairy man. It looks like a real man! I think he is funny.
We are learning about animals at COSI Go Wild Camp. Sometimes we get to go to exhibits. The first day we went to the Oceans exhibit. The second day we went to the Prairie exhibit. The third day we visited the Lost Egypt exhibit. Today we visited the Life exhibit, and we made snot.
Today we learned: "eyes in the front, like to hunt; eyes on the side, like to hide." We also got to hold animal skulls. I held the skulls of a bald eagle, a deer, a rattlesnake, and a bear. The biggest was the bear, the smallest was the rattlesnake.
I have also held a live bearded dragon this week, and we petted a Honduran Milk
At the Lost Egypt exhibit I saw a real mummy! It was a girl. She was about 16 to 18 years old when she died. Her "name" is Annie.
Yesterday, we went to Family night at the Columbus Zoo. We rode a log ride, and I got soaking wet! I sat in the front and protected Bryan from most of the water. The second hill was scary.
Both camps serve snacks. We had cookies, lots of Oreo's, and smiley gummies.

Riley and I had fun eating lunch together most days. We went to Katzinger's Deli and Riley got "the best peanut butter and jelly sandwich ever" and a giant pickle.
I enjoyed the extra Riley time, and we were able to commute downtown together every day.
Thanks for sharing your fun week with me!
Love,
Dad
